How to Calculate Heart Rate Manually

- Find your pulse: Place two fingers (index and middle) on your wrist (radial artery) just below the base of the thumb, or on your neck (carotid artery) to the side of your windpipe.
- Set a timer: Use a stopwatch or a clock with a second hand.
- Count the beats: Count every "thump" you feel for a set period (usually 15 or 30 seconds).
- Apply the formula: Multiply the number of beats by the appropriate factor to reach 60 seconds.

- 15-Second Method: If you count 18 beats in 15 seconds: 18 × 4 = 72 BPM.
