What is Orangetheory Catch Me If You Can Calculator?
The “Catch Me If You Can” (CMIYC) challenge is a signature Orangetheory treadmill workout designed to test your endurance and pacing strategy. Every few minutes, a “checkpoint” occurs. If you haven’t reached the required distance for that minute, you are “caught” and must move to the rowing machine.
Our calculator helps you determine if your intended pace is sufficient to reach the final minute (Minute 20 for 2G, Minute 12 for 3G). It allows you to simulate different speeds to find the “Minimum Effective Dose” speed to avoid getting caught early.
How to Calculate Orangetheory Catch Me If You Can (Example):
- Identify your class type (e.g., 2G Runner).
- Look at the final checkpoint: 2.8 miles at 20 minutes.
- Use the math: Speed = (Distance / Time) × 60.
- (2.8 miles / 20 mins) × 60 = 8.4 MPH.
- If you average 8.4 MPH for the full 20 minutes, you will finish exactly as the clock expires.
