This estimate is primarily derived from the “Mid-Parental Height” formula, which assumes that a child’s height is largely determined by the average heights of their biological parents.

While genetics account for approximately 60% to 80% of final height, external factors like nutrition, health conditions, and physical activity during developmental years also play a critical role. This calculator provides the “genetic target” range.

How to Calculate Accurate Height (Example)

  1. Determine Parent Heights: Let’s say the Father is 180cm and Mother is 160cm.
  2. Sum the Heights: 180 + 160 = 340cm.
  3. Adjust for Gender: If calculating for a boy, add 13cm (340 + 13 = 353). If for a girl, subtract 13cm (340 – 13 = 327).
