How the PPP Calculation Works

- PPP Rate: 400 / 5 = 80. The implied PPP rate is 80 INR per 1 USD.
- Market Comparison: If the actual market exchange rate is 83 INR per 1 USD, the INR is considered undervalued because the market rate is "cheaper" than what the cost of goods suggests it should be.
Why Does PPP Matter?
